Hi y’all, it’s me Cathy G (Catherine Gerhardt)!
I’m originally from Austin, Texas and first got into climbing early in 2021 when I moved to Salt Lake City with my husband, Travis, and our lil’ boxer doggo (Winston – “Winny”).
The past few years, I have been working remotely as a Patent Agent for a law firm in Austin. The best part about my job is the flexibility to travel multiple times a year for outdoor bouldering. One of my favorite things about bouldering is the immediate connection I can have with a complete stranger at the crag or on Instagram; I’ve met some of my closest friends through climbing. Although climbing locally in Little Cottonwood Canyon and Joe’s Valley will always be my favorite, lately I have loved climbing in Red Rocks, Chattanooga, and in the Denver area.
So far, my favorite Flashed gear is the Big Squishy pad with my good friend Hannah’s Now or Noodles artwork on it.
