Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, and then the San Francisco Bay Area, Jake Scharfman (he/they) is a photographer, climber, and self-described enjoyer of cool textures based out of Squamish, British Columbia.
Exposed initially to climbing by his big-wall-climbing uncle they have developed a complicated co-dependent love for the sport that has brought them on many a journey. From the ‘youth team kid that flashed your project’, to a published photographer, to an avid member and staff person at their local gym, to a developer of new crags, Jake continues to explore the sport of climbing and the wonder that is the climbing community in new and joyful ways.
Jake’s favorite Flashed product is his Big Squishy with a custom photo of Howe Sound printed on it.
