Hi I’m Michelle Yalowega!
I live in Squamish, BC, and work full-time as a high school science teacher. One of the most rewarding components is coaching and running the climbing club that I started at the school a few years ago. The kids think of me as some ninja, and that is handy street credit to have in the hallway. Ys 🙂 Outside of the classroom, I can most often be found bouldering in the forest in Squamish. Whether projecting with friends, touring people around, or doing a solo circuit, it’s my favorite way to decompress.
Squamish is amazing in the fall, and I have my eye on some awesome lines. I also have travel plans, as climbing new problems is one of my favorite things; climbing somewhere new is always amazing. Goal-wise: I am focused on strengthening, always learning, staying psyched, having fun, pushing my limits, and climbing new things.
My favorite product is the Bert Brush. The size and dense bristles make it perfect for brushing big Squamish slopers. So satisfying.
